Our Children are so precious to us! Amanda and I have found it amazing how our loves grows for each of our children as time goes on. There was not any less love to share when Charlie came along, or when Fletcher came along, it just multiplies exponentially.
And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. (Ephesians 3:18-19)
I know that I do not have a good understanding of how wide, how long, how high, or how deep his love for me is. But I am hungry to know this kind of love our father gives us. I'm struggling to find the words to write here, but my heart is deeply stirred for my FATHER's affections for me as I know my affections are stirred for my kids.
Many of the kids who come to Gimli Bible Camp come from hurting and broken homes. I am not saying they do not experience love in their homes, but too often the idea of a fathers love can become a twisted, incomplete picture in broken homes. When kids come to Christian camps, they have a great opportunity to experience the love of their Heavenly Father through various camp staff, and this is a game changer!
The love our Father has given is powerful, let us use it to proclaim his kingdom!
